What are Customers saying about Greg's Drawings?

  • Ruth Friedrich of Canada commissioned Greg to do two drawings of her Cadillacs:

"OK, my picture does not do them justice. But I wanted you to see how they were framed and that they are super!

"They are away from natural sunlight, away from any heat source and portable... that way I can move them around! This is only a temporary place, I have to rearrange a little before their placement makes me happy. The white one is my favourite one! On the green one, you can see a white area underneath the car on the right hand side, that is your signature, could not let that be covered up."

  • Margie Dietterich on receiving a drawing of her BMW Isetta as a Christmas present from her husband Jim. This message is from an email received from Margie.

Margie Dietterich sitting in her car with her drawing called BahamaisettaJust wanted to send you a thank you, I LOVE the drawing of my Isetta. It looks great!!

Thanks for having it done for my Christmas gift. My husband always goes to great pains when it comes to my gifts, so thanks for all.

We will send a photo of the picture framed when its finished. Thanks Again

  • Cindy Stricker on buying a print of "Woodie Grain" for a friend as a Christmas Gift
I was searching for that "perfect" gift when I located Greg's website which featured his Woodie drawings. While I knew that this was my friend's favorite car, I personally had very limited knowledge of the car itself; however, Greg went out of his way to send me additional information on the car as well as links to other websites, and it was apparent that he too wanted me to be completely satisfied with my decision.

"Additionally, without solicitation, he directed me to another website where I could purchase an item to compliment my gift. The print that I received (Woody Grain) more than met with my expectations, as did the level of customer service that I received. Each and every communication I had with Greg was a true pleasure. He never failed to treat me as if I were his most important customer, and I would not hesitate to recommend his services!

  • Dan & Anna Lisi of Camarillo, CA on buying a print of "Dual Boards" on eBay:

Our print arrived today (1-22-03) and it looks just beautiful! This is one picture I can't wait for my husband to hang on his wall. Thank you for making this a very pleasurable experience.

  • Tomi Lakatosh of Orange County on buying "Secret Beach" for husband Andy:

"Andy could not believe that I had gotten the picture for him. He hung it right away. It is so cool."

  • Paul Wong of Studio City, CA on buying a print of "Fin" for a friend:

"I got the print today. It looks great! My friend will be very happy with it, I'm sure. Thanks!"

  • Debra Grose-Russell of Ontario, Canada contacted Greg via his website and asked if he could create a drawing of a 1959 Ford Country Sedan set in a drive-in for a close friend's 50th birthday present.

Bruce Nicol with his Dream CarBruce owned a midnight blue Ford wagon in high school and talked of it fondly. Here's Debra (in an email) describing Bruce (on the right) opening the gift:

"He complained bitterly about my tons of tissue paper wrapping as he was opening it! Then he saw 'her.' He looked at your drawing and said 'that's her'! "That's the one - and in Midnight navy! She looks perfect." Then the questions started.

"How did you get this done? Who did it for you? How did I think of this? How long did this take? Don't you just love 20 questions when you give a present! So I simply said Greg did it! I was smart enough to see talent.  Then I gave him your card. He said to let you know he thinks it is an amazing drawing and it's going to be proudly hung in his office so he can look at it everyday.

"Thank you for helping me give a friend such a special gift ... now all we have to do is get the rest of the world to see your gift!"

  • Miriam Alcala of San Diego on buying a print of "Fin" on eBay for her boyfriend, Ryan:

"Once again thank you for that wonderful print my boyfriend loved it, I was so pleased with the print that I could not wait till Christmas I had to give it to him early."

Ryan's reaction (via eMail): "My girlfriend actually bought a print from you and gave it to me and I love it. I don't have a convertible, but if you ever decide to do one of a hardtop let me know. I'll be more than happy to drive the car up the coast."

  • Gideon Saunders of Arkansas on buying a print of "Secret Beach" on eBay:

"The print is wonderful and it arrived promptly. I purchased it as a girt for a friend who loves and collects VWs. He grew up in Malibu and now lives in Sandpoint, Idaho. He is an old surfer and I know he will love the print. I intend to visit the web site and check out more of your work."

  • Arthur England III of Kent, Washington on his purchase of "59 Cadillac Biarritz":

"I just wanted to let you know that my new picture arrived today, but it sure doesn't look like a print to me. Is the one I have really a print, or did you send me an original? In either case, I absolutely love it, and knowing that it was coming already had a frame waiting and it wasn't here more than about a half an hour before it found it's new home on my bedroom wall right next to the first one I purchased.

"Keep up the good work, and let me know when that 1958 might be going up for auction, it probably won't be much of a surprise if you see that I'll be snagging another one!"

  • Kelly Fitzgerald of Colorado on buying "Woodies at Doheney Wood" from eBay for her father:

"Thanks for the print. I really like the print because my father has a woodie and he is really into the originality of each car and the surf fin for the hood ornament wood is really great.

"I just thought he would really enjoy it because he built his entire woodie and made it custom the way he wanted it. If you ever do any with woodies from the early 1930's email me and I would purchase it."

  • Bob Rief, CEO of Reef, on a drawing of his 1939 Ford Super Deluxe woodie:

"I thought it would be fun to have a personalized rendering of my car."

  • John Norris of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA, on the two drawings of his 1954 Mercury wagon:

"Both of us are Very pleased with quality! Particularly that the quality of inks and paper must be a factor in the crispness of the art and lack of color fade. Detail was exact right down to the shadows! Composition was unique to any other woody (or car) art typically seen in California.

"The two works were selected by my wife as gifts for my daughter's family and me. I told my wife one day about the artist that spent his days at the Cardiff State Beach working on his art while the rest of us surfed. I described the art with enthusiasm. After having been married to the same woman for so many years I should have deduced my expressed interest or excitement would turn into a surprise gift during the Holidays! If a car enthusiast wants to capture the essence of the ride, have a 'hand me down' long after the ride has come and gone,

"Greg's art is a most unique dimensional and exacting representation. The sketches are as crisp and colorful with no fade a year after they were hung in our homes. I can't imagine a customer being disappointed with the quality of Greg's art!"

  • Laura Rosano of Petaluma, CA wanted a woodie drawing print as a gift for her husband. She asked Greg to change the color of the car in Dual Boards from red to blue:

"I received (the print) the other day, and I absolutely love it. Thank you so much. I am going to frame it before I give it to my husband for Christmas. Who knows, he may want to order another one!

"Thanks again, it was just the way I envisioned."

  • Dr. Andrea Feather of Chino Hills, CA on buying a print of "Big John's 54 Mercury wagon" for her office:

(The print) arrived in good condition today. Thank you. It looks great. Thanks for the inscription."
